Hi there! My name is Julie Everhart. Counseling is a life-long dream for me, and I am so excited to be part of the team at Journey of Hope. I am humbled and blessed to be a part of what God is doing.

I was born and raised in a Godly, Christian home, accepted the Lord as my Savior as a young child, but completely dedicated my life to Him when I was 16. I graduated from Clarks Summit University with my Bachelor’s in counseling in 2000. Many things have happened in my life since then, and I have learned what it means to live in the power of grace and fall in love with Jesus in a way I never knew before. I started my Master’s in Counseling in 2017 and am currently pursuing my Licensure in New York State. I have two amazing sons who are the joy of my life.

I became an Intensive Case Manager in 2001 where I helped adults struggling with Bipolar, Manic Depression, and Schizophrenia become successful in living in the community. For four years I was a Junior High and High School teacher and basketball coach for a small Christian school near me. During those years, my desire to counsel began to grow immensely as I worked with teens struggling through the reality of life. I was able to point them to the hope of Christ and watch God work miracles in their lives. I am now the Director of Social Services at a nursing home. Every day I work with families and their loved ones as they strive to rehabilitate to go back home or to make end of life decisions.

The passion and calling of my life is to help other people find the joy and hope that is offered in our Lord and Savior. I am so excited to be part of Journey of Hope and continue on this road that God is leading me down!
