Hi there! My name is Julie Everhart. Counseling is a life-long dream for me, and I am so excited to be part of the team at Journey of Hope. I am humbled and blessed to be a part of what God is doing.
I was born and raised in a Godly, Christian home, accepted the Lord as my Savior as a young child, but completely dedicated my life to Him when I was 16. I graduated from Clarks Summit University with my Bachelor’s in counseling in 2000. Many things have happened in my life since then, and I have learned what it means to live in the power of grace and fall in love with Jesus in a way I never knew before. I have my Master’s in Counseling and am currently pursuing my Licensure in New York State. I have two amazing sons who are the joy of my life.
I became an Intensive Case Manager in 2001 where I helped adults struggling with Bipolar, Manic Depression, and Schizophrenia become successful in living in the community. For four years I was a Junior High and High School teacher and basketball coach for a small Christian school near me. During those years, my desire to counsel began to grow immensely as I worked with teens struggling through the reality of life. I was able to point them to the hope of Christ and watch God work miracles in their lives. I am now the Administrator of an Adult Care Facility. Every day I work with residents and their loved ones to assist them in many areas of life.
The passion and calling of my life is to help other people find the joy and hope that is offered in our Lord and Savior. I am so excited to be part of Journey of Hope and continue on this road that God is leading me down!
