Hello, my name is Matthew Scott. Through this journey over the last 14 years God has had his hand on me with every new opportunity that has come across my path. Little did I know that each turn I took would lead me to this opportunity to combine my love for counseling and love for Christ into one. I am in awe that each step I thought was a door closing was actually God’s hand in my life directing my path.

I have been married to my wife and best friend for 16 years and have 4 awesome spunky kids. I have been involved within the field of working with families and their children for over 14 years.

I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University in 2009 and a BS in Psychology with a concentration on Adolescent and Child Development from Liberty University in 2004. In 2003 I served as a residential counselor at a Residential Treatment Facility in NY State working with predominately severe mentally ill youth. In 2007 I began working with families in their homes through a home visiting program aimed at improving the functionality of the family unit funded by the Office of Children and Family Services in NY. In 2009 I was able to begin my counseling career at the Samaritan Counseling Center in Endicott, NY. I worked with individuals, families, couples and children as a therapist at this center. In 2015 I was able to take a position at an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic where I currently practice during the week. I work with a variety of clientele ranging from children, families, couples, marriage, youth and those with addictions.

I am currently a New York State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am excited to see what God has in store for this new ministry and the impact that it can have on those in the area. I never imagined that God would lead me back to where I grew up for this amazing opportunity.
